DV Court Paralegal (Volunteer) – Women’s Legal Service

Published on September 13, 2022
We are recruiting women interested in joining our DV Court Paralegal (Volunteer) Program at Caboolture, aligned with our mission for accessible legal and social justice for a safer future for all women and children.
This opportunity is perfect for current law students, recent law graduates, and early career lawyers wanting to move into family and domestic violence legal practice.
Volunteer paralegals assist WLSQ solicitors in all aspects of the Duty Lawyer service to help the Court run smoothly and effectively. Paralegals must be able to communicate effectively and appropriately with women who have experienced domestic violence from diverse backgrounds and may be required to prepare and edit documents such as letters, file notes, and court forms.
WLSQ operates within a feminist framework informed by feminist principles: care, respect; inclusivity; accountability, and, collaboration.
If you can dedicate one Thursday fortnightly for a minimum of 6 months – we’d love your assistance! Apply today by sending your 250-word Expression of Interest and CV here: https://form.jotform.com/211378985821062
