  • Salary: $118,198 to $126,567 a year full time hours (PO5) — plus leave, up to 12.75% superannuation & salary packaging benefits.

Legal Aid Queensland Family Law Services division gives legal help and support to children and adults experiencing family law issues including child protection, child support and maintenance, parenting issues, domestic and family violence, and divorce and property settlement. Where possible, we encourage people to resolve their problems without going to court by using Legal Aid Queensland’s dispute resolution services. From helping children have a voice in the legal system through their separate representatives and independent children’s lawyers, to representing people with complex disputes before the family law courts, this division plays an integral role in helping Queenslanders resolve their family law problems


This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced social worker to take on a key leadership role providing social support services to clients presenting with vulnerabilities and from disadvantaged families at courts, from Legal Aid Queensland’s offices and outreach locations. You will be part of a broader specialist team of allied professionals delivering high quality services to individuals, families and children in family law, child protection, domestic and family violence and related areas including at courts, from Legal Aid Queensland’s offices and outreach locations.
