Vaccination policies: Guidance for centres on how to respond from an employer viewpoint

Hand holding vaccination

The COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically impacted workforces around the world and continues to disrupt employment practices across Australia.

The need to draft workplace policies relating to COVID-19 vaccinations is a live issue. It will impact most, if not all, sectors of the Australian workforce, including the community legal sector.

This webinar is presented by employment and work, health and safety lawyers from Maurice Blackburn. It will provide a general overview of the state of the law and highlight the issues which centres may need to consider.

The webinar will canvas:

  • key issues around vaccine policies in workplaces;
  • reasonable directions and;
  • employer considerations and actions.

Additionally, the webinar will cover the issue of employer responsibility in circumstances where workers contract COVID-19 in the course of their employment.

Participants will be provided with a greater appreciation and understanding of the current legal issues in relation to vaccination policies from an employer perspective. The law is still evolving in this area and this webinar will ensure Centres are up to date with current considerations and issues to look out for.

This webinar is for CLCs Australia member centres only.
