Wunya is a Yuggera word that means welcome/greetings.
On 25 and 26 October we will welcome members of the First Nations Employee Network to gather in Meanjin/Brisbane.
Wunya will be a collaborative event focusing on cultural self-care, connecting with communities across the state and yarning about your experiences within the community legal sector.
There will also be discussions on the Community Legal Centres Queensland First Nations Sector Strategy, updates on Climate Justice and developing principles for First Nations employment.
Day 1: Wednesday 25 October 10am to 4pm then a social event at Birrunga Gallery
Day 2: Thursday 26 October 9am to 1:30pm with an optional afternoon session until 3pm.
Participation in Wunya is free of charge for First Nations employees and generous travel subsidies of up to $1000 are available to those coming from outside greater Brisbane area.
