Over half a million Australians live with an intellectual or learning disability which impacts each person differently. Women with intellectual disabilities are grossly overrepresented as victims of domestic, family, and sexual violence and other forms of disability-related violence including abuse and neglect from carers.

This webinar, presented by Kristy Hill (Peer Facilitator), Abby Xing and Jackie Parsons (Case Managers) from WWILD Sexual Violence Prevention Association will cover:

  • What is Intellectual Disability
  • How to identify Intellectual Disability
  • Ways to adjust your communication
  • Improving service accessibility for people with Intellectual Disability
  • Challenging the stereotypes around people with Intellectual Disability
