We are seeking Management Committee members who can help steward this next chapter with strategic clarity, sector insight, and a shared commitment to social justice.
Candidates must have:
- a deep understanding of equity, inclusion and community need
- strategic thinking skills
- strong judgment and integrity
- curiosity
- a commitment to collaborative decision making
In addition, candidates should bring expertise or experience in one or more of the following areas:
- philanthropy, social enterprise, fundraising strategy, corporate partnerships or grant- making (to help Caxton strengthen its long-term financial sustainability)
- responsible technology, digital strategy, or artificial intelligence in the context of service delivery, organisational efficiencies, and rights-based governance
- outcomes measurement, data analytics, data strategy, evaluation or social impact reporting to help Caxton better demonstrate and improve the value of its work
- client-centred service models, quality improvement frameworks, or human-centred design in community, legal, health or social services
- governance and risk management
- health / mental health
- human services
- communications
- finance
- community development and cross-sector collaboration
- First Nations justice, and/or
- academia
We are particularly interested in individuals with experience or perspectives that complement our current Committee, including from First Nations communities, and diverse cultural, professional, and lived experience backgrounds.
You do not need to be a lawyer or have legal experience to hold a position on the Management Committee.
In addition to general committee members, we are also specifically looking for an experienced leader to take on the role of Treasurer.
