Artificial intelligence (AI) is everywhere, from the smartphones in our pockets to the AI systems shaping government decision making, with real world consequences for CLC clients.
For community legal practitioners, the AI wave brings a triple challenge: legal workplaces are transforming rapidly, your clients are encountering AI systems in new and unprecedented ways, and CLC lawyers themselves are seeking to use AI tools while staying within the bounds of professional legal responsibilities.
Join Ed Santow, the Head of the Policy Lab at the Human Technology Institute (HTI) at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), for a webinar for community legal practitioners keen to demystify AI and harness its potential responsibly. This webinar will break down the fundamentals of AI in plain language, explore examples of how lawyers are using AI, and consider how CLC clients might already be encountering AI in their legal matters.
The webinar will also outline critical professional and ethical considerations, including your obligations under professional conduct rules.
The webinar will be delivered via Zoom and a link will be emailed to all registered participants by 5pm on Tuesday 29 July.
