Registering with QLeave

Queensland’s PLSL scheme started on 1 January 2021. Community legal centres need to register with QLeave as employers. If you’ve already completed the employer registration form on QLeave’s website, your organisation is registered.

Employer returns

The first quarterly employer return is due on 14 April 2021. In late March, QLeave will email registered employers with all the information needed to complete the spreadsheet return. The data requirements for your returns are available here.

Once you’ve submitted your employer return, QLeave will calculate the levy at 1.35% of the ordinary wages reported on your return. You’ll be emailed an invoice for the levy due. Find out more about employer returns and paying the levy.

How do my workers join QLeave?

Your workers will be registered with the scheme once QLeave has received your employer return and levy payment. QLeave will contact your workers to let them know they’re registered. QLeave will also show your workers how to view their online service record and check their work has been recorded correctly.
