Disasters create specific legal issues for people with disabilities (PWD), and community legal centres have an important role to play in assisting PWD to protect their legal rights. In this webinar, Queensland Advocacy for Inclusion (QAI) will present important legal considerations for PWD at all stages of the disaster cycle. The webinar will also introduce the P-CEP (Person-Centred Emergency Preparedness) tool.
Queenslanders with Disability Network (QDN) will demonstrate how the P-CEP tool can help PWD to plan for their support needs when disasters strike. This webinar will benefit anyone who is keen to improve their understanding about disaster risk reduction for people with disabilities.
